Check 21

Point of Sale

Prismpay Check 21 allows the recipient of the original paper check to create a digital version of the original check (called a “substitute check“), thereby eliminating the need for further handling of the physical document. Check 21 is not subject to ACH (Automated Clearing House) rules, therefore transactions are not subject to NACHA (The Electronic Payments Association) rules, regulations, fees and fines.

Retail

Prismpay Check 21 allows the recipient of their check to create a digital version using several check imaging units, thereby eliminating the need for further handling of the physical document.

ACH

When you need to collect payments from your customers at established intervals (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly), PrismPay’s ACH payments platform program is ideal. Businesses that collect routine payments or membership dues, such as Internet service providers, health clubs, rental communities, religious organizations, etc., can safely and securely collect scheduled payments from a customer’s via direct ACH automatically via the Internet using our VPOS or API’s.

Back Office

Prismpay Check 21 allows the recipient of the original paper check to create a digital version of the original check (called a “substitute check“) using the ACH’s routing and DDA information.

Virtual

Prismpay has developed a “Virtual Check 21″[2] system which allows online and offline merchants to create and submit demand draft documents to the bank of deposit. This process which combines remotely created checks (RCC) and Check 21 X9.37 files enables merchants to benefit from direct merchant-to-bank relationships, lower NSFs, and lower chargebacks.

Image Cash Letters (ICLs) have become the preferred vehicle for transporting electronic check payment transactions between organizations and systems.
