What is a special order item?
Special Order Item is an item-type created while making a document (such as a customer order) to sell an item not currently carried in inventory. The special order is an extra order or an order for an item specially requested by a customer.If the item is not one you normally carry, can you send a special order to the supplier? Special orders for non-stock products are processed efficiently, using automated procedures, and quickly directed to the relevant supplier.
